So if your party has 3 casters, they are pretty useless and you won't do enough damage to survive the mobs (often 10 enemies at once). If you forgot to buy the only spells that the devs intended you to use, you are f*cked up in some fortress far away from home.Īlso, most enemies have crazy Magic resistance. You will fight mob after mob that wrecks your party in no time. The game has the same balancing and difficulty spike problem that Kingmaker already had. So you think you can breeze through the game on normal difficulty like you would with Assassin's Creed? No way. Overall its a solid game that will take you maybe 200 hours to finish first time and the mythic paths and dozens of classes give it incredible amount of content and replay value. ![]() Crusade system is pretty much on par with kingdom management from kingmaker, the battles are fun first few times, then you realize spellcasting generals are OP and you can just clear the map with single army nuking everything. Random encounters are incredibly brutal early on (on hard at least) and you are better off reloading and rolling for stealth checks to handle them with greater invisibility or other cheese strats. The side content was definitely handled better in Kingmaker, most of the optional areas have no real story or are garbage puzzles. Main story line is grand and epic and yet Kingmaker was more exciting and better written. Similarly some companions are well written and fun to have throughout the entire game like the hellknight, some are straight garbo and bore you to death from the first encounter like a certain paladin chick for example.
